The restoration list for 2015 includes 14 churches.
On April 22nd the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, reported this during the fifth meeting of the board of trustees of the "Supports of Construction of Temples of the City of Moscow" fund.
According to him, among them are the Novospassky, Zachatyevsky, Ivanovo, Danilovsky and Rozhdestvensky monasteries. At the expense of the city, 14 Moscow churches have been restored, and 20 more have been restored together with the Russian Orthodox Church recently.
Less than a month ago the cathedral of the Prince Vladimirsky Monastery in New Moscow was restored. The reconstruction of the Preobrazhjensky (Transfiguration) Cathedral on Moscow Square is also almost complete. Complex restoration works on the church on the Chernigov farmstead are close to being finished. In 2016, the restoration of historical churches in Zaryadya has to be complete.
The Moscow authorities will continue to spend considerable resources on restoring churches built in olden times.
