The mayor of Kiev, Vitaly Klitschko, has reported the signing of a contract with the government of Germany for €5 million for the development of social infrastructure, kindergartens in particular, in the Ukrainian capital.
As Construction.ru reported via the press service, the Kiev municipal public administration, with reference to its head, Vitaly Klitschko, wil spend the allocated funds on the reconstruction and repair of preschool educational institutions. In kindergartens in the city, a number of additional groups will be created through the restoration of classes and the premises of institutions. The vice-president of the Kiev administration, Anna Starostenko, said that this is about preschool educational institutions which have been used decades and are not now fit for purpose, which will now will be returned to the city and repaired. The government announced a tender for the restoration of additional classrooms today for the realization of this project. The submission of demands from everyone participating in it will take place on June 9th – 15th. The city authorities will promote the organization and implementation of this project and participate in financing, while parental collectives and public organizations will control the carrying out of renovations. The official party funding program, "Promoting social infrastructure", and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, through the German Development Bank KfW, will determine the winners. "The Ukrainian fund for social infrastructure" will realize it. Each winner of the competition will receive the sum of €300 thousand.
