On April 23rd, a meeting was held on “Ceramic products and clayware usage in facade finishing of buildings to be constructed in the Moscow area - the impact of finishing materials on the architectural appearance of the capital’s construction objects”.
As Construction.ru was told by the press service of the Department, the participants discussed new technologies and materials that might create a modern look for the buildings. The head of the department, Vladislav Gordienko, reminded those present that the projects in the area must be implemented with as much usage as possible of domestic production.
His first deputy, Mikhail Khaikin, remarked: “We shouldn’t have monotonous architecture in the Moscow area. The towns must be unique, must have their own look”. It was then decided to organize regular meetings with construction materials producers, architects, designers and engineers, and representatives of construction and investment companies.
Moreover, the Main Department for Architecture and Urban Development is ready to become an open site for professional meetings and discussions, said Mikhail Khaikin. He suggested organizing such “round table” meetings and exhibitions, and visiting the best-practice plants in the area.
