The company South Stream Transport BV is known to have ordered its Italian contractor Saipem to start work under the “Turkish Stream” project contracts.
As “Construction.ru” was told by the Saipem press service, the company, with good reason, has started pre-construction activities for the sea leg of the pipe-line in the Black Sea.
To remind you, SouthStreamTransport B.V. and Saipem S.p. agreed a contract on the construction of the first of the four lines of the “South Stream” sea leg in March 2014, but the project was blocked by the European Commission. In December 2014 “Gazprom” and the Turkish company “ Botas ” signed a memorandum on mutual understanding and initiated the project “The Turkish Stream”. It will be implemented instead of the cancelled “The South Stream”.
