In the Yakut settlement of Batagai on June 23, the first stage of the largest solar power station in the Far North went into operation.
As reported today by the republican Construction.ru press service, the new station will consist of 3.4 thousand Suntech polycrystalline panels rated at 300 watts each.
The service life of the capital equipment of the station will be 25 years. It is capable of functioning in extreme climate conditions, with temperatures ranging from +40 to -45 C. The commissioning of the first stage of the station with an annual power generation of 1.2 million kW will save 300 tons of diesel fuel a year. Subsequently, the power output of the station will be increased to 4 MW.
