The meeting of the Head of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba and Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took place in Kazan.
As Construction.ru was told in the republican press-service, during the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov suggested including Tatarstan companies in the program of Abkhazia's development in the sphere of hydropower engineering, tourism and construction materials. He remarked that up till now the level of economic cooperation between the republics was rather low. There is only some progress in the sphere of tourism and educational programs.
In his turn, Raul Khadjimba stressed that Abkhazia became the leader in wine delivery to Russia and surpassed the Soviet era numbers of tourism. Annually more than 2 m Russian tourists come there and the number is growing. The negotiations resulted in the decision to create 5-6 working groups on agricultural and industrial development, tourism and construction.
Abkhazia's leader also took part in the opening ceremony of the XVI World Championship in water sports 2015. Then the delegation visited technopolis “Khimgrad”, IT-park, and SEZ “Alabuga”.
