The Moscow Metro has announced a tender for equipping the stations with a system of smart video surveillance for 3.7 bln rubles.
As stated in the tender documents, published on the state procurement website, smart cameras will be able to identify troublesome people. The system will discover monkey business, unauthorized access to restricted zones, crowds of people, abandoned objects, etc.
188 stations of the Moscow metro will be equipped with the system to control the perimeter of 289 entrance corridors.
The results of the tender will be known on November 26th.
