A tender has been announced in Moscow for road network construction on the development area of the former ZIL plant, located in the south of the Russian capital.




As Construction.ru was told by the press office of the Moscow Construction Department, the winner of the first tender will have to build roads of regional and local significance with 2-6 lanes, as a well as a pedestrian underpass. 

The road network development of transport facilities for the ZIL area will be implemented in 5 stages. The tender winner will create new streets, including those leading to “Technopark” metro station, as well as reconstructing a section of Simonovskaya Embankment and the service roads along the Avtozavodsky Bridge.

A 6-lane section of the Simonovskaya Embankment is also planned, connecting the third ring road in the area of the Avtozavodsky Bridge with a projected street of regional significance.

Overall, about 20 km of new roads will be built over 3 years in the area of the former Likhachev plant in Moscow. The maximum cost is 9.5 bln roubles. The decision is to be made on March 29th.
