Saudi Arabia has suggested the construction, for free, of 200 mosques in Germany, one for every 100 refugees from the Middle East.
As Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports, referring to the Lebanese newspaper Al Diyar, thus do the Saudis want to make their contribution to the resolution of the humanitarian crisis creeping up on Europe. However, there is serious anxiety that among the Syrian refugees there will be many who are devoted to Bashar-al-Asad, or ISIL followers, among others.
German authorities haven’t yet agreed, but on September 10th the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, greeted refugees in the Berlin suburb of Spandau. She then complacently told journalists that these people will surely integrate, partly via their children, who will quickly learn German in kindergartens, and of course the majority of refugees will want to learn German quickly.
