The portfolio of GC “Rosatom” has grown 5.5 times and surpassed $300 bln.
The head of GC “Rosatom”, Sergei Kirienko, spoke about this at a meeting with the RF Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev. According to him, there are orders for the construction of 30 NPP units in 12 countries of the world in the company’s portfolio. Another 10 units in 5 other countries are being talked over. The corporation has not lost a single tender for some years.
Cooperation in the nuclear power industry allows for the development of long-term cooperation between countries because the construction of one unit takes from 7 to 10 years. On top of this is the technical servicing of the plants, the working warranty of which is 60 years (the real working term is up to 100 years).
Dmitry Medvedev, in his turn, stressed that Russian nuclear technologies have always been required, and that it is important for Russia to keep her prominent position in these hard economic times.
