The construction of a high-speed toll highway between Moscow and Kazan, as part of the “Europe – Western China” project, will begin at the end of 2018.
As Innokentiy Alafinov, the first deputy of the Avtodor Chairman of the Board, told the Moscow city news agency, the company has made this proposal to the government of the RF. In 2017, the contractor will be chosen as a result of the tender, and the design development will start. Work at the construction site will start at the end of 2018.
Pre-design concepts for the Moscow–Kazan section will be presented to the government in the second quarter of 2016.
To remind you, the total length of the road within the Europe–Western China project will be 8,500 km, including 2,300 km in Russia, 2,800 km in Kazakhstan and 3,400 km in China.
The ?11 Moscow-Saint-Petersburg toll road and the third part of the Central road will also become part of the “Europe – Western China” project.
