The monument to the founder of RUS, Knyaz Vladimir, will be erected in Borovitskaya Square in April.
The executive director of the Russian Military Historic Society (RMHS), Vladislav Kononov, spoke about this with RIA Novosti. According to him, the monument is being created now, and it is to be completed by April. The height of the monument, by sculptor Salavat Shcherbakov, will be 15m. The UNESCO decision on the monument has not been received yet by RMHS.
To remind you, Borovitskaya Square in Moscow is a buffer zone near the Kremlin and Red Square, which are on the list of UNESCO worldwide historic heritage sites. The ceremonial first stone laid at the site of the future monument was laid in November, 2015.
