Operatives from the Russian security service, the FSB, and the RF Investigative Committee arrived on Monday at the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utility for the Krasnoyarsk region to conduct a search.
According to the local media, the offices of the head of the department, Nikolay Glushkov, and his deputy minister, Sergey Kozupitsa, are being checked by the security officials. Simultaneously, the operatives are searching the house of the regional Minister of Construction.
The investigation is reportedly connected with the case of the deputy of the Krasnoyarsk legislative assembly, Vladimir Sedov, who is suspected of large-scale bribery.
As established in December 2015, the suspect learned that the authorities were auditing the construction of the “Zlatoulochka” micro-district, located in the Emelianovo district. The work was carried out by “Zlata” building company.
The official decided to earn from this and demanded that the company pay him a gratuity for his patronage. A “Zlata” company representative transferred over 1m roubles to Sedov’s account.
