Andrei Chibis checks dilapidated housing resettlement in Tula region

The Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia, and the chief state housing inspector, Andrei Chibis, has checked the implementation of the programs for the overhaul and resettlement of dilapidated housing in the Tula region.




The Tula region is one of the leaders in dilapidated housing resettlement – 6,500 people have already been resettled there. It ranks 7th in Russia in terms of projected resettlement.

There is 321,000 m2 of dilapidated housing and 10,000 more people have to be resettled by 2017. According to the overhaul program, 10,530 houses are to be restored in the Tula region by 2041.

“The Construction Ministry will provide the necessary support to help with the implementation of the region’s plans in good time. The region has experience of complex overhauls. Meanwhile, quality of work remains the key condition”, said Andrei Chibis.
