The authorities of the Ryazan region have agreed with investors from China to construct a powerful pig-breeding farm, accounting for 84,000 animals. The facility will be located in the Skopin district.
The investment in this large-scale project is estimated at 3.4 bln roubles, the regional press office told Construction.ru.
160 new jobs will be created at the enterprise and the tax revenues will amount to over 20m roubles annually.
The investor will implement similar projects in the Moscow, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Kursk, Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novgorod regions.
The Ryazan region is considered an industrial and agrarian center. Livestock farming, including raising cattle and breeding pigs, sheep, and poultry, is the backbone of the region’s agriculture.
