FSB operatives have detained the head of the Chernomorskoye municipal administration of the Crimean Republic, Sergei Volodko.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against Volodko under Article 160, part 3, of the Russian Criminal Code, the press office of the regional Investigative Committee of Russia has told Construction.ru. Sergei Volodko is charged with embezzlement of property, committed by abuse of his office.
According to available data, from January to May 2014, Mr Volodko stole over 300,000 roubles belonging to the Mezhvodnoye rural council of the Chernomorskoye district.
Meanwhile, as has become known, the case consists of a number of episodes and other suspects are expected to be detained.
