The ex-Minister of Social Protection in the Zabaikalye Territory, Georgiy Reva, is accused of abuse of power under Article of 285 of the Russian Criminal Code.
According to the investigators, from 2002 to 2015, on Mr Reva's instruction, a house, a Russian sauna and an arbor were built for the Minister's personal use on the territory of Atamanovka care facility for old people and invalids.
The construction work was conducted at the expense of this social institution, the press office of the regional Investigative Committee told Construction.ru. Moreover, these buildings were fitted out with the finest furniture and most expensive equipment, all at the care facility's expense.
It was not just Mr Reva who came to this house to spend leisure time, but also his family members. Meanwhile, these buildings were never used by this social institution.
If the ex-Minister is convicted of this offense, he face up to 7 years of imprisonment.
