Foreign investments in real estate of Saint Petersburg hits record

In the first quarter, the total volume of foreign investment in real estate in Saint Petersburg has increased by 64.3% to 2.797 bln roubles, as compared with the same period last year.




 

This data has been provided in a research report conducted by NAI Becar, published on Wednesday. The document states that the figure exceeds the volume of foreign investment for the whole of 2015. At the same time, the foreign investment share of the total volume of investments amounted to 50%.

Transactions with production and warehousing property accounts for 64%, trade platforms 30%, and only 5% is down to land plots.

Among the major transactions there is the purchase, for 800 m roubles, by the Finnish Kesko concern of a hypermarket on the Vyborg Highway and the sale, for 1.8 bln roubles, of Blackstone’s logistics center.
