The Chinese have completed the evaluation of the construction budget for the high-speed railway network from China’s border town of Hunchun to the Russian city of Vladivostok.

This is what the head of the Transport Department of the province’s Development and Reform Committee, Ho Chuang, told reporters on the 11th of May.

According to the data he referred to, the work on all construction sites will require financing totaling $9.2 bln. As a result, within 5-6 years an advanced modern railway, with a length of 322 km, might be build there.

However, at present scheduled research work is being carried out within the framework of the project. Issues concerning railway construction are being discussed by the local authorities, both in the Russian and Chinese regions, as well as by the railway companies’ representatives.
