In Italy, luxury villas have been designed in the shape of sculptures, Archdaily.com reports. The buildings are planned to be erected in a resort community which occupies 300 acres of Is Molas golf resort in Sardinia.

According to the designers, Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, these villas are intended to be “eco-friendly, open-concept, and uniquely-designed”. The buildings will be constructed on the territory of an 18-hole golf course.

This summer, the first 4 “Inhabitable Sculptures” are scheduled to be put into operation and, in autumn, 7 more villas will be constructed. The construction size will range from 2,953 to 8,858 square feet.

The villas are to be made with mainly natural materials produced by local manufacturers. Their design is a sort of interpretation of ancient Nuragic structures.

A total number of 150 villas are to be built, including a beach club, an upscale restaurants, shops, a fitness center and other facilities.
