Russia and Hungary reach agreement on joint stadium construction for World Cup 2018

The participation of Hungarian companies in the construction of a stadium for World Cup 2018 is being discussed by Russian and Hungarian delegates.




This is what the Foreign Affairs Minister of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto, told reporters following negotiations with the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov. He stressed that the parties managed to reach an agreement on one of the projects regarding World Cup 2018.

Meanwhile, the Hungarian minister found it difficult to specify which enterprise will carry out the work.

The World Cup is to be held in Russia from the 14th of June to 15th of July 2018. The games will be played in a number of cities, including Moscow, Kaliningrad, Saint Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi and Ekaterinburg.
