On Thursday, the Supreme Court of Russia has affirmed the lower court’s ruling rejecting a claim of an agricultural enterprise, which demanded to demolish two 15 storeys buildings of the “Khinky” business park, belonging to IKEA.
Therefore, the court has settled the claim of IKEA, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the “Khimky” agricultural enterprise, the business park has been erected on the land plot of the former state owned farm, “The Way to Communism”, which the complaint obtained into collective share ownership in 1991. In the opinion of the complaint, the land plot with an area of 20 hectares was illegally expropriated by the Khimky city administration in 1993 and leased out to IKEA.
