In September 2015, Gazprom conducted its first auction for natural gas sale to explore the new trading instrument for gas supplied over the Nord Stream-1 pipeline.
On the 31st of August, Gazprom Export will carry out the third auction on sales of Russian natural gas to the European countries with delivery in winter season of 2016-2017, the company’s statement says, TASS agency reports on Thursday.
Similarly to the first auction, gas is to be offered in Greifswald, Gaspool and Olbernhau delivery points. There will be also a possibility for buyers to tap gas.
As a reference, in 2015, more than 40 lots of 1.2 bln cubic meters of gas was sold at the auction.
