By late 2017, the Quarzwerke Group of Companies from Germany will build an enterprise for extraction and production of a high-quality quartz sand near Velikodvorskiy village in the Vladimir region of Russia.
A total volume of investments into the constriction works and the plant’s equipping will exceed 2 bln roubles, the regional press office told Construction.RU on Friday. Its capacity will amount to 500,000 tons of quartz sand per year.
An official groundbreaking ceremony of the integrated plant took place on the 21st of July, with the participation of the First Vice Governor, Alexey Konyshev.
This enterprise will become the first in the Vladimir region for extraction and enrichment of a high-quality quartz sand. This will allow to abandon the imported raw materials supplied for glass-blowers in the town of Gus-Khrustalny.
