The press office of the Russian Construction Ministry announced that the first Russia’s rental social housing might emerge in the cities of Moscow, Kazan and Tomsk.
“The RF Construction Ministry and Russia's Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending (AIZhK) have launched implementation of pilot projects of rental housing in the major cities, like Moscow, Kazan and Tomsk. The Agency signed a memorandum of cooperation, according to which AIZhK will buy out a total of 60,000 sq.m of residential area”, - said the source in the Construction Ministry.
This will give an opportunity to establish a rental fund of small apartments, which are especially in demand on the market. At the same time, rental housing will be built by investors and afterwards will be bought out by the state either fully, or partially.
Rental payments in such houses will be lower than an average market price.
