Following the intergovernmental inquiry in the Russian city of Sochi, the hotel owners were revealed, who hadn’t been registered for tax purposes, the press office of the resort city administration told Interfax.
According to the data provided by the administration, from the 21st to 25th of July, about 100 of illegal residential facilities had been revealed. Seventy three of the total amount of cases have already been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Over the course of a meeting, Mayor of Sochi, Anatoly Pakhomov, demanded to detect all hotels providing accommodation for tourists illegally.
“In July, the number of tourists exceeded any expectations. At present, there are 35% more tourists than the official hotel room capacity is capable to accommodate”, - said Anatoly Pakhomov.
