A modern Fencing Academy is planned to be built in the Moscow region’s town of Khimki. This offer was made Khimki Group developing company owned by a well-known Russian billionaire and philanthropist, Alisher Usmanov.
Alisher Usmanov is also a President of the Supervisory Board of the Fencing Federation of Russia and is already financing the construction of a number of fencers’ centers located in the Russian cities of Novosibirsk, Ufa, Rostov-on-Don and Kursk. As the company’s press office told Construction.RU on Monday, the total area of the two-storey Academy, which will be situated in Novogorsk micro-district, will amount to 2,200 square meters.
The works at the construction site are scheduled to start as early as autumn.
