Antimonopoly and Trade Ministry of Belarus has revealed evidences of restriction of competition on the Russian-Belarussian trans-border market of lift equipment, the Ministry’s press office.
According to the statement, in August 2016, Russian Industry and Commerce Ministry addressed a reference letter to regional overhaul funds of multi-apartment buildings informing that installation of lift equipment produced in Russia was a priority.
The Belarusian party believes that such instructions prevent lift producers from Belarus from supplying their latest solution equipment to the Russian market. This also includes the lifts produced with the usage of Russian materials and components.
The Ministry claims that such actions of its Russian counterparts violate Article 75 “Competition Framework” of the Eurasian Economic Union.
