Hi-Tech Nuclear Radiology Medical Center will be established in the city of Dmitrovgrad located in the Ulyanovsk region, Russia. The facility is scheduled to be put into operation in December 2018.




At present, 90 percent of construction and mounting work has been completed and builders started finishing work. A center for radiopharmaceutical agents’ preparation has already been commissioned.

Investments into the project amount to 20 billion roubles. The project of this cancer treatment center is being realized on the territory of Dmitrovgrad within the state program “Establishing Federal Centers for Medical Nuclear Radiology Technologies.”

A unique cyclotron weighing 220 tons will become the center’s peculiarity. This devise will let doctors to remove cancer cells without touching human flesh.

This proton therapy system, named Proteus®PLUS, was produced by IBA, a Belgian company. At present, there are no more than 40 proton therapy centers in the world. Thus, Nuclear Radiology Medical Center in Dmitrovgrad will become the first such center on the territory of Russia and the largest one in Europe.
