Up to ten temporary floating hotels on a basis of river ships can appear in Moscow before World Cup, which Russia will host in 2018, the deputy chief of the Main Directorate of the Emergency Ministry in Moscow, Vladimir Volkov, announced on Wednesday.
“Due to the large influx of foreign tourists, up to ten temporary floating hotels on a basis of river ships may appear in the waters of the Moscow River,” Volkov said in an interview to the official website of Mayor Office of Moscow.
He noted that due to the large influx of guests, a new multi-purpose patrol and rescue vessel would be on duty on the water. Its length is 15 meters and it will be equipped with communication systems, different means of rescue, unmanned aerial vehicles, CCTV cameras.
“We also plan to strengthen control over vessels plying the waters of the Moscow river”, - said Volkov.
