The second air passenger and cargo terminals in Zhukovsky airport are planned to be built in the Moscow region next year, the regional Transport Minister, Mikhail Oleynik, announced at a press conference in the Moscow regional government house.
“Next year, JSC Ramport Aero planned the construction of a passenger terminal with an area of up to 47,000 square meters, as well as a cargo terminal with an area of 10,000 square meters,” Mikhail Oleynik noted.
The Minister specified that the matter concerned the construction of the second passenger terminal. As a reference, the space of the existing one is 17,000 square meters.
According to Mr. Oleynik, since the first flight, a passenger flow in the airport amounted to 26,385 people. He added that the authorities expect to increase the airport’s passenger flow up to 2 million people per year.
