In the year 2016, the growth of consumption of Russian gas has been observed, first of all, in importing countries in the North-Western and Central Europe, the press release issued by Gazprom corporation says.
In particular, Gazprom’s export in the United Kingdom amounted to 17,8 billion cubic meters of gas, showing a rise in 59,9%, in France – to 11,5 billion cubic meters of gas (24,2% growth), in Austria – to 6,1 billion cubic meters of gas (37,9% growth), in the Netherlands – to 4,2 billion cubic meters of gas (77,1% growth) and in Denmark – to 1,7 billion cubic meters of gas (156,2% growth).
At the same time, Gazprom hit an all-time high of gas supplies to its market number one in Europe – to Germany, that totaled 49,8 billion cubic meters of gas.
