Up to seven McDonald's restaurants to open in Siberia this year

GiD, a company based in Russian city of Novokuznetsk, which concluded a franchising agreement with Moscow-McDonald's JSC, plans to invest over 800 million rubles ($13,7 million) in launching new fast food restaurants in the cities of the Siberian Federal District of Russia.




As GiD’s owner, Alexander Govor, told Interfax news agency that over the course of the current year between six and seven facilities were planned to be opened, including first two McDonald's restaurants in the city of Krasnoyarsk.

At present, a total of 14 restaurants are operating in the Siberian Federal District, two of them in Novokuznetsk and Kemerovo, seven operate in Novosibirsk, as well as one each in Berdsk, Tomsk and Barnaul.

In 2018 a number of restaurants is planned to be increased up to 23.
