McDonald's have change their mind about building two of their restaurants in Omsk and are refusing to rent land in Belgorod because of their material losses. As "Kommersant" writes today, the McDonald's company couldn't agree a tenancy price with the owner of the building for continuing their occupation of their snackbar in the Belgorod region. The problem is that, because of a situation in the neighboring state, the traffic on the road where the restaurant is located has significantly decreased. The turnover of money of snackbar cut in half . In the lease contract, if such a case arises, the rent is 5% of the monthly profit of the restaurant. A decrease in payment by 50% didn't suit the landlord and he has decided not to prolong the contract with the American company. McDonald's has thus refused to build two more objects in Omsk.
