Gazprom will invest 100 billion rubles ($1,7 billion) into gasification of Kyrgyzstan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said following a meeting with Kyrgyz leader Almazbek Atambayev, Rambler News reports on Wednesday.




“Russian company Gazprom is engaged in large-scale activities connected with the implementation of a general plan for gas supply and gasification of Kyrgyzstan until 2030. The total volume of investment in the Republic’s gas distribution network will amount to 100 billion rubles”, - Vladimir Putin said.

Russian President noted that, as a result of these investments, the level of gasification of Kyrgyzstan would increase up to 60 per cent compared with the current figure of 22 per cent.
