Araltuz, a company based in Kazakhstan, and Chinese Qinghai Soda Desheng AshIndustrial Co. Ltd signed an agreement to establish a joint venture for the production of soda ash.

The new enterprise’s share capital amounts to more than 17.5 billion tenge, with a dollar equal to approximately 313 tenge. This is what Xinhua news agency reported citing the press office of the local executive authority of the Kyzylorda region of Kazakhstan.

The volume of investments into construction of a plant for the production of soda ash with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year will exceed 87.5 billion tenge. As of today, Kazakhstan's demand for soda ash is 400,000 tons per year. The demand is fully met by imports from the Russian Federation in view of absence of the country’s own production.
