Rosatom, a Russian state nuclear energy corporation, intends to take part in new tenders for construction of facilities based on renewable energy sources both in Russia and abroad, president of JSC Rusatom International Network Alexander Merten told reporters on Tuesday.
Alexander Merten noted that such tenders had not been announced yet, but in case they are held, the company would take part.
“We won a tender and are building a wind farm of 600 MW. Currently, we are engaged in the establishment of the production of wind turbines here. And we are going to participate not only in Russia but also abroad,” he stressed without specifying which countries were meant.
“Perhaps, it will be Kazakhstan, possibly other countries. We will elaborate upon this theme,” he added.
