Syria and Venezuela developed a plan to bypass anti-Syrian sanctions by means of secret deals in the transportation of Syrian oil to the Caribbean through the bogus Russian company, Bloomberg reports, citing documents, letters and interviews.
However, the agency failed to reveal the data on the relative oil supplies. The plant, which had allegedly was intended to process raw materials, denied such speculations.
The plan that has not been implemented involved the sale of Syrian oil to Venezuela at a large discount through a bogus Russian company. That company was meant to send the oil to a refinery on the island of Aruba for processing and further transportation to filling stations in the USA and in other places, the agency said.
