JSC Russian Railways and the Ministry of Railways of India are planning to sign an agreement for conducting a feasibility study for the project envisaging the modernization of the lines Nagpur – Secunderabad lines, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Wednesday.
The document is expected to be signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
In October, the parties confirmed their intention to jointly implement the project for the modernization of a 575-km stretch of Nagpur – Secunderabad line with the aim to increase the speed of passenger trains up to 200 km/h, having fixed the arrangements in the relevant protocol on cooperation.
In February, the company’s subsidiary, LLC RZD international received a permit to operate in India and opened its representative office.
