Within the framework of XXI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Russian oil company Rosneft and the Chinese national petrochemical corporation ChemChina have signed an agreement on the development of a project for construction of a plant producing polymer coatings.
The document defines conditions of the establishment of a joint enterprise and the subsequent stages of the project implementation in construction of the plant, which will produce polymer coating and special paint.
The project envisages the establishment of Russia’s largest enterprise for the production of special polymer coatings for marine vessels of various classes, including the Arctic ones.
The products that is planned to be manufactured by the plant is intended to be applied at Zvezda shipbuilding complex located in the Russian Far East.
