The Moscow region will not be able to take all debris that will appear during the demolition of five-story buildings within the implementation of a program for renovation of the housing stock in Moscow.
This is what the special representative of Russian President for environment and transport, Sergey Ivanov, said in an interview published on Wednesday in Kommersant newspaper.
Mr. Ivanov noted that there was no place in the Moscow region to keep all the construction debris. He noted stressed that a landfill, even a legal one, is a complex engineering structure.
In addition to the pullout of a pit, a special sheath is needed to prevent leakage in the ground, and getting into streams. Apart from that, he added, a special ventilation system is required.
