A volume of construction carried out for the benefit of the Russian Defense Ministry is huge, Deputy Head of the Ministry, Timur Ivanov, said in an interview to Kommersant newspaper on Monday.
The Deputy Minister of Defense stressed that a stable order on the part of the Defense Ministry ensures a sustainable development of the military and construction industry.
“It (the volume – editor’s note) is compatible with the Post-War period: simultaneously over 2,000 sites, both of social nature and for special purpose, are under construction. These are radar installations, hydraulic engineering installations, airfields, health facilities, housing, schools, cadets’ specialized schools, military townlets and ranges, as well as marine terminals. Construction is carried out from Kaliningrad to Kurils,” Ivanov informed.
