Construction of a mixed-use facility with a bus station starts at Schelkovo transfer hub in eastern Moscow, at Shchelkovskoe shosse, Chairman of the city’s state committee for construction supervision, Oleg Antosenko, told reporters on Tuesday.
“Construction of a mixed-use center with a bus station has been launched that will be part of Shchelkovo transfer hub. Under the project, the building has a total area of about 137,000 square meters, five underground, six above ground floors and a technical one,” Antonenko said.
He noted that modern multifunctional center would be erected in place of the existing bus station.
“The new building will retain the function of a bus terminal, with its capacity increased. The bus station can serve up to 1 615 bus trips per day, including not only local and intraregional, but also inter-regional and international ones”, the Chairman of the Committee stressed.
