Federal Service of Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) has issued a license for the construction of the second nuclear power station in the Russian city of Kursk.
This is what the press office of “Rosenergoatom” JSC, which is a building developer and technical supervisor of the facility, told Construction.RU on Friday. According to the company’s representative, now the soil replacement will start at the construction pit.
Since the beginning of the year, the station’s builders have disbursed 694,3 m roubles when the purification and intake facilities have been erected and the construction base have been formed.
We should remind you that as soon as the second Kursk nuclear power station with the new generation WWER type reactors is put into operation, the facility will serve as a replacement station for the energy units withdrawn from the operating Kursk nuclear station.
