Bulgarian enterprise will receive a Russian certificate for repairing helicopters of Mi series, director at the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Dmitry Shugaev told reporters at 2017 Air Show opened on Monday at Le Bourget near Paris.
“We certify a plant, in particular in Europe for the maintenance of helicopters Mi series, we certify the relative plant in Bulgaria,” Mr. Shugaev noted.
He said that those European companies were engaged in the repair of Mi-17 helicopters that had been previously delivered to the Afghan army.
Earlier it was reported that Russia has supplied about 60 helicopters for the Afghan army, under the contract with Pentagon. Later, US officials announced that financing for the purchase of Russian helicopters for Afghanistan was discontinued.
