A powerful sheep unit for 100,000 heads of animals is planned to be built in the Fatezhsky district of the Kursk region, Russia.
The project is estimated at 20 billion rubles ($334 million), according to the region’s Governor, Alexander Mikhailov.
He specified that construction activities would be carried out at the site within the framework of a major project initiated by Miratorg company with a total investment of 160 billion rubles. Large pig-breeding farms, which have been built and are currently operating in the region, were financed from these funds. Apart from that, a plant producing food for dogs and cats is also expected to be erected there.
As for the giant sheep unit, the first livestock will be brought to the Kursk region from Australia as early as this autumn.
