French Areva to sell equipment for NPP in Russia

Areva NP, a French manufacturer of equipment intended for nuclear power plants, intends by 2021 to conclude a partnership agreement in Russia for the sale of reactor controlling units, as it follows from a project for the company’s development until 2021, Rambler News reports on Monday.




In addition to partnership agreements in Russia, which terms are not specified, the company plans to enter into similar contracts in China, as well as actively develop on the U.S. market.

According to this document, in 2017, the revenue of Areva NP will increase by 9% compared to year 2016 – up to €3.4 billion, and until 2021 it will grow by 50%, up to €4.8 billion.

As a reference, Areva NP is a division of Areva specializing in the manufacture and development of equipment and reactors for nuclear power plants.
