The EU budget could lose more than 20 billion euro due to Brexit, the European commissioner for the budget, Gunther Oettinger, has said.
According to the Guardian, now it is necessary to recognize huge losses, which the EU will face after the completion of the UK’s exit from the bloc.
Gunther Oettinger has pointed out that the UK was a conscientious taxpayer, that is why the gap in the EU’s budget will range between 10 billion and 25 billion euro per year.
At present, the European Commission is going to appeal to the British government requesting it to comply with previously assumed obligations for payment of pensions of EU officials.
