Rushydro wants to return the finance invested in the construction of the Verkhny-Naryn chain of power plants in Kirgizia, the company reports.
The money invested in the project implementation should be returned in full volume according to the agreement. However, all the attempts of negotiations on the issue have not led to the acceptable results for the company. Rushydro is ready for a meaningful dialogue to discuss the variants of the debt repayment by the Kyrgyz party.
The company notes in its press release, that it is ready to appeal to a court in case Kirgizia does not agree to acceptable conditions.
To remind you, the Rushydro’s investment in the projects totals about 2 bln roubles (≈$33m). The agreement on the construction of HPS chain was signed in September, 2012. Rushydro owned 50% stock of the project. The Russian company allocated 1 bln roubles (≈$17m) for preparatory work. On January 22, 2015 President of Kirgizia signed a law on denunciation of the agreement with Russia on the construction of the HPS.
