President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the federal law on the establishment of a compensation fund for shared-equity construction, which will replace the existing system of insurance in this area, according to the Construction Ministry of construction.
The fund will be launched no later than in November 2017, after conversion into a public company.
“The document approves the powers and functions of the Fund, its management bodies, establishes the obligation for developers to contributions to the compensation fund before the state registration of a contract of the participation in shared construction, as well as the possibility to assist in the completion of homes in the event of bankruptcy of a builder”, the document reads.
